To Fear or Not to Fear the Visa Application

May 23, 2023

Commentary by Ira Bodhi matter-of-factly told me this morning that he wanted to travel all over the world. It is his goal to go to every continent. Not sure where that came from, but I can guess it was probably his father. We have been traveling internationally with Bodhi since just before he turned one. … More To Fear or Not to Fear the Visa Application

Wat Huay Pla Kang is also known as the #kingdomofra #travelwithkids Red Temple or even the Chiang Rai Goddess because of the large, white statue of Guanyin, the Buddhist goddess of mercy on the 3 temple compound. She is absolutely stunning and even more so on the inside, which is full of more white adornments. #thailand #kingdomofra #travelwithkids #chiangrai #temple Happy 9th birthday to my favorite travel buddy! My sweet animal loving, chef in training tennis star - may every day bring you as much joy as you have given me. #kingdomofra #travelwithkids #thailand #travelingfamily #animallover Lunch at Singha Park. Crispy tea leaves appetiser is a must and the view of the tea garden is always spectacular. Afterwards, zip line! We have also ridden bikes around the lake, but no time for that today. #kingdomofra #travelwithkids #thailand #chiangrai #singhapark Beautiful temple inspired by Dante’s Inferno this temple is a work of art. I don’t think it’s actually used as a temple, but it’s probably the most famous in Thailand. #kingdomofra #travelwithkids #thailand #temple #chiangrai I love going to Muang On Cave even if it’s a lot of stairs in the heat and humidity. The cave is huge and the shrines are ….interesting. The best part: monkeys!!!! So many babies! But we quickly rolled our windows up when the alpha male came because he was not friendly!! #kingdomofra #travelwithkids #thailand #chiangmai #monkey #cave Lunch at Ira’s favorite restaurant which is at an art gallery. Then off to the Silk and Umbrella factory. Bodhi’s favorite artist is still there and she loves painting things for him Not shown is the Jade store because wasn’t an opportunity. #kingdomofra #travelwithkids #thailand #chiangmai # Took advantage of the spectacular weather and took the kids zip lining and go-kart roller coaster. Then we continued up the mountain for an amazing view. Bodhi made a new friend on the way back down. #kingdomofra #travelwithkids #thailand #chiangmai Today a little stroll through Wat Umong turned into a 4 mile hike when we discovered a nature preserve behind the temple. So peaceful. Next time…no flip flops now that we know we can hike! #kingdomofra #travelwithkids #thailand #chiangmai #buddhistemple A visit to the Orchid Farm in Mae Rim area. Less than $2 entry fee and perfectly beautiful. #kingdomofra #travelwithkids #thailand #chiangmai #butterfly #orchid
