Shawn the Sheep at Powderham Castle

If there is a castle to be seen, I want to go. Bodhi, on the other hand, probably couldn’t care less. But this particular castle had some fun in store for this lad and it was a success in allowing time for kids so grownups could enjoy the boring tour.

Look at his face! He was super excited to learn that there was a special event going on where he could use the phone to find hidden images of Shawn the Sheep. Dad was like, “eh” but mom was stoked to join in.

It took a little mastering, but we finally figured out how to take a photo with the virtual sheep and Bodhi really got into it.

He didn’t even complain about walking around the grounds.

Then we found the kids area. Behind the doors there was whole area for kids to run wild, climb, and play.

Plus there were animals! Goats, chickens, llamas galore. The donkey was super sweet and loved to be petted.

After getting all the boy’s energy out, it was time to find the rest of the sheep before heading to tour the castle.

It became a game to try and duplicate the poses of Shawn the Sheep and some of them were challenging! Clearly, he had a good time with this activity and we were crossing our fingers that this would make him a little more patient going through the castle.
