Do not go to the Borough Market hungry. Seriously. This will only result in stuffing yourself until you are miserable. Look at those amazing figs!!!!

The wonderful smells and gorgeous looking food just made our mouths water. We opted to walk through and see what we wanted, but we already had our hearts set on a Fish and Chips place we had heard about on one of the thousand of YouTube videos we watched prior to arrival. Besides, we couldn’t really invest in much more than a meal since we still needed to get to Exeter with all our luggage the next day.

Of course, there was a line. You can’t be famous and not have a line. So while Ira waited for the fish, Bodhi and I went to stand across the road and eat our pastry we bought on the walk to the tube. This was the flakiest croissant with clotted cream and strawberries.

Of course, there was a line. You can’t be famous and not have a line. So while Ira waited for the fish, Bodhi and I went to stand across the road and eat our pastry we bought at Donutelier on the walk to the tube. This was the flakiest croissant with clotted cream and strawberries. Heavenly. But as we tried to save some from Ira, we discovered we were downwind from the most amazingly fragrant strawberries.
Hold up. Fish and Chips first.
I don’t know why people told us that British Fish and Chips weren’t that great. This was amazing. Hot. Crispy batter. Tangy homemade tartar sauce. And the chips! Thick, firm, salty fries. It was really too hot to eat, but we couldn’t keep ourselves from devouring it.

Then the strawberries started calling to us again. Ok, maybe it was actually the man running the stand shouting out, “get your strawberries here!” Same difference. He stuffed a cup full for us and smothered them with hot chocolate sauce. Total thumbs up from Bodhi.
We could have stayed all day and stuffed ourselves silly, but it was time to move on. The walk to our next activity was scenic and well received to our full bellies. Time for some more fun!
